How does it sound? That’s what everyone really wants to know, right? Well the Dual Terror lives up to its name. The additional headroom provided by the additional wattage gives the Orange Dual Terror beautiful, rich clean tones that start hitting breakup with your playing or volume knob. When the amp starts breaking up the harmonics start coming to life with sparkling clarity. As the volume is increased and the tubes come to life, the Dual Terror starts giving layer upon layer of clarity, overdrive, and dynamic response. This is true British tone in a small package.

As you push up the gain you’ll notice more harmonics and blistering lead and crunch tones that put most “boutique” amps to shame. Lead notes sustain for days and rhythm crunch is punchy and in your face. This bad boy has the type of crunch that you can feel in your chest. The Fat Channel, with its slightly bolstered low end, can give you a slightly more scooped gain tone, getting into the American metal sound. Either channel can be used for clean, rhythm, or lead and it will be up to your ears to decide where to put the dials. There is practically no sound that the Orange Dual Terror cannot accommodate.

The 7 and 15 watt modes are just as impressive as the 30 watt mode. Breaking up quicker and reducing the output volume allows the tubes to work harder without your ears doing the same. This means easy to dial in crunch and overdrive at any level, perfect for recording, rehearsal, or basement playing. The crunch is still tight and harmonically rich while the clean retains all the sparkling components you get in the higher power mode.

There is nothing small about the Orange Dual Terror. This Class A monster might look small but the sound is huge and gorgeous putting forth stunning tones for all genres that will make the “boutique” amp guys take note.
